CALLING ALL CUB SCOUTERS!
CUB SCOUT ROUNDTABLE - Every 2nd THURSDAY night from 7-8:30 PM. They are always at the St Stephen's Church, at 555 SE Regatta DR, Oak Harbor. That church is located not too far away from the Oak Harbor marina side of town, up near the public library.
Most adults have never been to a RT and know nothing about why Districts all over America hold them every month. What is a Roundtable?
Roundtables provide a bite-sized opportunity each month (except July when we break) for every registered adult in Island District to gain program ideas, information on BSA and local policy & events, learn about training opportunities, and share from their own experiences so that others can learn what "works" and what doesn't. We practice things about 45 days in advance of that Pack Meeting (e.g. at the SEPT RT we practice the OCT theme). It's a Pack Meeting for adults only. No kids.
Finally, if you are a seasoned Cub Scout Leader, we could sure benefit from your experiences. Please contact us to see if we can use you to conduct some specialized Pack Meeting or Den Meeting mini-Training. I am always looking for Scouters who are willing to conduct a Break-away during Roundtable for the benefit of Cubmasters, Den Leaders and Committee Members.
That's all. Hope to see you there!
